Hi, I’m Sandra and I have been designing and decorating cakes since 1979 – firstly as a hobby – making cakes for family and friends which has now grown into a full-time business.

I now have my own studio in Consett specialising in Novelty cakes, Sugar Sculptures and models for any occasion. I am self-taught but have a City & Guilds certificate in Sugarcraft and I am also a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild.

In 2006 I entered the ‘Cake International’ competition at the NEC in Birmingham for the first time and was amazed when I won ‘Gold’ & ‘Best in Show’ with my cake sculpture of a Unicorn & Fairy. The following year I won Gold with my ‘Tiger’ sculpted cake, which now has centre stage in my new studio.
